Broadwayworld.com review Feb 22, 2020

Dolphin Theatre’s production of Roger Hall’s LAST LEGS is delivered with a fresh authenticity through cleverly crafted attention to every aspect of the production. Director Glenda Pearce is known for her attention to detail and she has successfully replicated the realism of the retirement village, highlighting the atmosphere and the experiences of the diverse characters who live there. The clever marriage of technologies and stagecraft ensures there is a perfect balance of action and pace which is better delivered than I have seen in there productions. This is a delight. Don’t miss it.

2019 was a superb examination year, with 90% of all Trinity candidates gaining Distinction grades! A special congratulations to the 10 ATCL candidates, 9 of whom gained this qualification with Distinction! An outstanding 95% for ATCL was gained by Lauren Dunne, and 89% by Olivia Maxwell. Zoe Hooten got 98% for Grade 3 individual as well as a Distinction in Group Drama. Charlotte Stokes got 95% for Grade 4 and there were many marks in the 90s. Well done everyone! SpeechNZ grades were also Honours and Honours Plus – so all in all, a very successful year, testament to your commitment and talent!

Thank you so much for coming to train us on the public reading of scripture! You are truly a superb teacher and we are sooo glad to have had you come to us. So encouraged by your deep understanding and passion for reading scripture well! Thank you for going above and beyond, tailoring the classes to our needs – our team is continuing to grow and improve and it’s so exciting to see – thank you again Glenda!

So excited to get a place on the writing team of the international organisation based in USA. Please feel free to get me along to any Shakespeare based event so I can review, promote, provide support!

Many adults are now attending individual sessions in public speaking and effective oral communication. Feel free to connect me for more information.

I recently enjoyed the opportunity to further hone my skills in assessment by attending the New Zealand Speech Board Examiners Accreditation Seminars in Wellington January 2019. This is a strong professional body offering a range of courses. Shortly, I will be training , March 2019, as a ANZDA Drama adjudicator. All of these opportunities are broadening and deepening my knowledge base, but also reminding me about “learning” – it always helps to remind us just how hard learning is!

Terrific to be part of these lovely young women’s success. Eight years of fun and confidence building expressive artistic voices resulted in ATCL diplomas for Kate Taylor, Jess Dasent, Kate Taylor and Katie Jane Wellock. This year – there are 10 candidates for ATCL!
Absent – Catherine Maunsell and Gavin Cao. Melissa Rouse gained ATCL in teaching Speech and Drama – so happy to help you in this journey.
